iPhone Eating Into BlackBerry’s Pie

May 31, 2010

The Straits Times reported an article on 26 May 2010 that the iPhone is slowly replacing the Blackberry as the corporate phone of choice.

In Singapore, all three local banks are currently exploring with the possibility of introducing iPhones to employees who have previously predominantly relied on the Blackberry for corporate use.

Having noticed this increasing trend of iPhone adoption rate amongst mobile users, and being a fan of Apple ourselves, we are constantly improving our Hoiio Mobile App to allow you smarter mobile calls.

This month, we have made improvements to ROAMING with Hoiio, reducing the process to 3 simple steps.

Enjoy up to 99% savings simply by following Hoiio’s 3-Steps Roaming.

Another iPad From Us

May 13, 2010

Apple has officially announced that it plans to release iPad in Singapore in July. Now that’s two months away.

If you prefer to get it earlier, why not join us in our contest. We’re giving away another iPad this May!

In our April’s contest, the more minutes you talk on Hoiio, the more chances you earned. It works pretty well when the chances of winning increases as you spoke (and save) more on Hoiio. This time, we have tuned our contest mechanics so that you can also share this good news and include those close to you the chance to win the iPad.

How? Invite your family members and friends to Hoiio. As they accept your invitation and start making Hoiio calls, you get 1 chance, and so will they! The more successful invites you make, the more chances you earn.

Do get the details at ipad.hoiio.com.

Good Luck!

Our heartiest congratulations to our iPad contest winner with the username Drawdeo and mobile number ending with “2122”!

So many have wanted to get their hands on the iPad but it went to none other than Drawdeo, our luckiest Hoiio user. But fret not if you have not won this round as we are giving away another iPad! Stay tuned as we will announce our next “Win an iPad” contest, next week.

We also collaborated with iMerlion on a contest exclusive to iMerlion readers. All that is needed to win 1,000 free minutes worth of Hoiio local calls is to tell us why they want to use Hoiio. iMerlion reader Hung Yi told us this,

“I want to use Hoiio because even if I do not win the iPad contest, the money I save using Hoiio will be enough for me to buy an iPad myself!!!”

Well said Hung Yi! And here’s 1,000 free Hoiio minutes for all your local calls, coming your way.

There are also a couple of interesting entries that we received from iMerlion readers. Read them at iMerlion. If you’re keen to know how the draw was conducted, click on our video.
